Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 July 2026

Breadsheet is provided by Irtiqa Labs. This policy covers the Breadsheet mobile app and trybreadsheet.com. Breadsheet is local-first: your budget records are stored on your device and are not synced to a Breadsheet cloud account. Some information is processed off device for optional online features, accounts and purchases, diagnostics, support, and normal website delivery.

Local records and backups

Transactions, budgets, accounts, categories, notes, chat history, and local attachments are kept in the app's local storage. An operating-system backup or device-transfer service may include app data, depending on your device and backup settings. Apple or Google controls those backups. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes the active local copy, but an available backup may restore an older copy. You can also export a CSV copy.

Information we process

Account and authentication information. You can use thefree plan without signing in. Breadsheet creates an anonymous account to secure online requests. Sign-in is required when you purchase Pro. If you use Apple or Google to sign in, the authentication services process the account, profile, contact, and security information needed to complete sign-in. Breadsheet does not receive your password.

AI feature content. When you choose voice entry, receipt scanning, or the assistant, Breadsheet sends the text, audio, images, attachments, relevant budget or financial information, and other app data needed to fulfil your request through our backend to an external AI service provider. AI conversation history is otherwise stored locally. You do not need to use these optional features.

Purchase and subscription information. The app stores process payments and provide the product, purchase, subscription, and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro. Breadsheet does not receive payment-card details.

Usage and diagnostic information. Breadsheet processes basic app and device information, device identifiers, interactions, purchase events, crashes, performance data, and approximate location to understand reliability and broad product use. Breadsheet's custom analytics do not include the content of financial records or AI conversations.

Feedback and support information. If you send feedback or contact support, we process your message, contact details, attachments, and basic app information so we can respond. When you visit the website, website infrastructure providers process basic network information such as your IP address, request, browser or device information, and security or performance data needed to deliver the site.

How we use and share information

We use information to provide requested features, authenticate accounts, restore Pro access, verify subscriptions, maintain security and reliability, improve broad product performance, answer support requests, deliver the website, and meet legal obligations.

We use service providers for secure account services, optional AI processing, analytics and diagnostics, subscription processing, and website delivery. They receive information only as needed to provide those services and must protect it consistently with this policy and applicable requirements. We do not sell personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or track people across unrelated apps and websites for advertising.

Retention

The external AI provider may retain submitted content and outputs longer for safety, abuse prevention, service operation, legal compliance, and, depending on the provider's terms and service configuration, service improvement. Other providers may retain information for security, legal, or service purposes described in their terms.

Your choices and account deletion

You choose whether to use optional AI features and control device backups through your operating-system settings. To delete your Breadsheet account, open Settings, Account, Delete account. This deletes the account and associated Breadsheet server data. Local budget records remain on your device unless you clear them or remove the app. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, which you must cancel separately. Signed-in users can also email [email protected] from their linked address. Anonymous accounts must use authenticated in-app deletion. See the account deletion page for instructions.

Security and international processing

Breadsheet uses authentication, access controls, and encryption in transit, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers and their subprocessors may process information in other countries using the safeguards described in their terms and required by applicable law.

Children

Breadsheet is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age in their region, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Breadsheet evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the last-updated date and, where appropriate, noted in the app. Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected].
