Terms of Use

Last updated 13 July 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Breadsheet mobile application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

2. Your data, backup, and responsibility

Breadsheet stores its active financial ledger on your device and does not provide a Breadsheet-operated ledger-sync service. Your operating system may include app data in iCloud, Android Auto Backup, device transfer, or another backup that you control through device settings. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, choosing appropriate backup settings, and keeping any CSV export you need.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. The App is a personal budgeting tool. It does not provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice, and you should not rely on it as such.

3. Free features and Breadsheet Pro

The App offers free features, including manual tracking, budgets, insights, multiple accounts, and CSV import and export, plus an optional paid upgrade,Breadsheet Pro, which removes the monthly limit on voice, receipt, and assistant features. Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.

4. Subscriptions and auto-renewal

5. AI features

Voice entry, receipt scanning, and the assistant use AI to interpret the input you provide. These features send the selected content and relevant spending context through Breadsheet's backend to an AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Successful voice and receipt transactions are saved to your local ledger and then shown for review, so you can correct or remove them. Assistant transaction suggestions remain drafts until you choose to save them. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete, so you remain responsible for checking it. Usage may be subject to fair-use limits, which are higher on Pro.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, or to attempt to access data or systems you are not authorised to access.

7. Accounts and deletion

Breadsheet creates an anonymous account to authenticate online features. You may attach a Google or Apple identity when purchasing or restoring Pro. You can delete the account from Settings, or use the external route described on the account deletion page if you have a signed-in account that support can verify.

Account deletion removes linked Breadsheet server data but leaves the local ledger on your device. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, which you must manage separately in the applicable store.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its name, logo, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes and termination

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.
